UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

I am the type of person to collect copious amounts of photographs, as i was sorting through the boxes and boxes that i own i found some that really stuck out for me.
The one above is of me, as you can see i very much enjoyed dressing myself from an early age. My mums purple velvet hat and tiny ballet dress is quite possibley something i would wear these days and you can see alot of this in the way i dress now!

These dresses are by Christopher Kane and hold alot of the same concepts as my early 1990's fasion skills. A and B equally look like an under garment rather than an outer and the both are made up of a very delicate, floaty chiffon.

The only massive difference with the three, is the netted bottom half. However in image c there is a use of net to create a very similar shape as my own.

This little polka dot all in one is adorable and was one of my favorites, it reminds me a lot of this polka dot Topshop playsuit!

Alice in fashionland

As Alice in wonderland has finally been released im keeping my eyes wide open for the out burst of Wonderland inspired dresses, clocks and rabbits!
This beautiful peice of photography was done by the young and extremily tallented Eleanor Hardwick, http://eleanorhardwick.com/.

These two images are from the spanish maggazine Ragazza.

A mood board i created to show my fashion predictions interms of Alice in wonderland.

Christopher kane spring/summer 2010

I can definitely see a strong hint of Alice in wonderland in this unique collection. I am a HUGE fan of Christopher Kanes collection, I love the prints, the shapes, the fabrics and the colours. He has managed to create such a unique collabration between a very English summer childhood and fairytale, yet somehow keeping it classic and sophisticated.

Some of my all time favorite window displays are in the Berdorf Goodman stores. Each window is so utterly beautiful! These below are just some of the images created for the 2009 Alice and Wonderland theme.

Photographs such as these are my inspiration for my future carreer, the make me feel so passionate and fill me with so much love for the proffesion. I love love love the rtiny detailing, this is how i want my windows to look like, this is the feel i want to create. I want people to feel the way i do looking at these images as they do looking at mine.
I think that every window display should be a peice of art, the space should be utilised as much as possible but above all, be incredibly thought provoking.

Meadow

I am currently building up my portfolio for my final year project, i have chosen to focus mainly on topshop. These are a few photos from the Plymouth store, Exeter and London Oxford street will be up soon! I am very interested to see how they will all compare. I really like Plymouth's but i feel that more could have been done, i personally would have applied an image for the background or maybe added a key object to attract more attention and make it stand out from the rest in the mall.

These are four of the key trends i have identified for spring/summer 2010.
