Beige is everywhere this season.

I was on the hunt for silk blouses and linen, all in beige and white and i came across this lovely lady in Marks and Spencers and she let me take a photograph of her.
I told her she was very up to date with fashion, she just laughed.

Never judge a book by its cover?

My favorite window displays have to be 3D everytime, with the use of so many different materials and objects. Its so important that a window will draw every single person in that walks past your store, whether the product you are selling is of any use or appeal to them, your window must make a statement, your windows are an introduction to your brand.
The Bergdorf Goodman windows are the epitome of this. I have mentioned them before and i can not mention them enough the intricate detailing of each display isn't a window, but a story and a message.
Below are a few of my favorites.

I love....

I am hugely interested and influenced by interior design, though i mainly study fashion i can not lie that interior design has the biggest place in my heart. This is what fore most attracts me to visual merchandising, its about the combination between fashion and space, using a space to display beautiful clothes and to create almost a work of art. I am always looking out for the different ways in which people display there work, as i believe it is the most important part of many artistic professions. There is no use in having a beautiful design if you do not utilise its surroundings.
One of the most reasont examples i have come across is the designs by Catherine Colebrook.

I love how she has turned a simple selection of bed linen and pillows in to some a lush picture just by adding flowers and a shops kitch 'open' sign and placing the whole thing into what appears to be the garden. It has definitely had an impact on me for my own work and given me some ideas for my current portfolio.

This is such a simple yet lovely idea, just to hang up her product on a washing line, i love it when people attach things to washing lines, i think it adds such a make shift, traditional quality to it.

Judith Leiber clutch

This Judith Leiber clutch is the most amazing bag i have seen so far this season, i love how different and imaginative it is. The bird cage design is embellished with hand-placed multicolored crystals its worth £5,180. In the reasont months the bird cage has been everywhere but this clutch is full of character and originality, i love it. x

Some outfit ideas for this spring/summer based around the trend of neutral colours, mainly focusing on beige and then adding some darker shades and accessories. x

Return of the shirt.

I love the raglan sleeved shirts that this season has to offer, my very favorite is the Rachel Comey Breezy Top, at the price of $311.00 its a little above my price range but a girl can wish. Its simply stunning, in a delicate fabric and brass buttons The colour is also perfect for spring/summer and im hoping to see a lot more of this style around on the high street.

I teamed it with a pair of recycled denim shorts from spoiltbrat.co.uk and Jeffrey Campbell Hurache Oxford Brogues to create a very hot look this summer. I would also love to see this shirt with a little skirt creating a very 50's look.

Denim shorts are everywhere this season and are so versatile, definitely a must have in any girls wardrobe.

Kate Moss 2010

I'm really impressed with Kate Moss's latest collection for Topshop, i felt that the previous lacked something but this one has the basics that the old collection did but with the most beautiful individual pieces to go along side. Such crisp cottons, fine, delicate lace's combined with floral prints and feathers its incredibly girlie and creative.
Using one of my new top favorite sites i created a college showing some of my favorite pieces from the collection.
For once i can't fault it, well done Miss Moss x

Another step for the Topshop Giants.

Topshop make-up is finally being launched tomorrow! We are promised beautiful, brightly coloured, long lasting quality.... but we shall see. This could be a even bigger leap for the ever growing, ever improving Topshop and i feel that britains main make up retailers are on the edge of the seats. Seeing as Topshop have had nothing but triumphs through there reasont indevours it will be interesting to see how sales increase and how crazy people will be going tomorrow, if the Kate Moss collection opening is anything to go by we could see some interesting results from the UK's fashion lovers.

My opinion so far is the amazing packaging, i love the hand drawn effect and its incredibly in at the moment. Anything with the retro vintage, olden feel is hugely popular, not to mention how cute they all look x
